The St. George Area Chamber of Commerce was established to represent the interests of businesses of all sizes. Membership ranges from locally owned shops to franchises and large corporations. The Elected Board of Directors decides on the policies and plans of action to further develop a community in which both business and families can grow. The direction of the Board is a great benefit to all chamber members. Much of the action taken by the Chamber is meant to enhance the economy in Washington County by helping businesses to achieve success, attracting new residents and businesses to the area, and retaining businesses that are already established. In addition, the Chamber offers educational and networking opportunities and business resources, such as mailing lists and directories, as well as government advocacy to protect the interests of area businesses. It is a privately run, non-profit organization.
